Born and brought up in Berwick-upon-Tweed on the Northumberland coast, I moved to Leeds where I studied Fine Art at Leeds University.

I settled in London where I set up Paintworks - an art materials shop and picture framers - and raised a family. Painting inevitably took a back seat for a while.

That changed when I first visited Pembrokeshire in 2003. The landscape all around Henllys Farm at Felindre Farchog kept calling me back. Later we fell in love with and bought a house and garden in Mynachlogddu where I now have my studio.
